Job Description

The organization (A USA Subsidiary) is a rapidly growing, private equity backed SaaS product company.

Role: We are looking for a Senior Technical Leader who can seamlessly bridge product engineering and infrastructure - someone who thinks in systems, not just infrastructure. Must understand application architecture and collaborate on product decisions. Your strength lies in combining deep infrastructure expertise with a strong understanding of product needs.

Responsibilities:

Participate in Architecture Discussions: Contribute to high-level architectural decisions across backend, frontend, and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security and operational excellence.

Review Application Code with an Infrastructure Lens: Evaluate MERN codebases for performance, reliability, deployment readiness and adherence to infrastructure best practices.

Own the Developer Experience Platform: Lead efforts to streamline development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, tooling and automation to improve productivity and reduce friction for engineering teams.

Make Infrastructure Decisions with Product Context: Design and implement infrastructure solutions that reflect product priorities, user needs, and long-term business goals - balancing cost, performance and reliability.

Drive DevOps Best Practices: Champion infrastructure-as-code, automated deployments, observability and robust monitoring across all environments.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, developers, QA and leadership to align technical decisions with roadmap objectives.

Mentor & Guide Engineering Teams: Provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level engineers across MERN and DevOps domains.

MUST HAVES:

8+ years of experience in software engineering (MERN), DevOps, or infrastructure roles

Strong background in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or Azure

Expertise in containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI)

Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Logstash, Kibana

Strong grasp of systems architecture , deployment automation, and performance optimization

Prior experience working in cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

NICE TO HAVES:

Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing

Knowledge of cloud security best practices - IAM, encryption, network security

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles

Exposure to tools like CloudFormation, AppMesh or AWS Lambda

WHAT YOULL GAIN:

Leadership opportunity in shaping cloud and DevOps strategies

Ownership of critical infrastructure and deployment processes

A culture of innovation, autonomy, and continuous learning

Collaborative environment working with top-tier engineering talent
