Senior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Developer:

1. Design & Development

• Develop and configure ServiceNow modules, especially ITSM , CMDB , and Discovery .
• Build custom applications, UI Policies, UI Actions, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Workflows.
• Develop and maintain Service Catalog items, Request workflows, and SLAs.

2. Integrations

• Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, MID Server , and integration tools.
• Work with external systems to ensure smooth data exchange and process automation.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure secure, stable connections.

3. CMDB & Discovery

• Configure and enhance CMDB to support business and operational requirements.
• Implement and fine-tune Discovery probes, sensors, patterns, and identification rules.
• Ensure CMDB data integrity, normalization, reconciliation, and relationship mapping.

4. Platform Administration

• Manage ServiceNow instance configurations, upgrades, patches, and performance.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow architectural standards and best practices.
• Work with the platform owner/architect to improve platform governance.

5. Requirements & Collaboration

• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Collaborate with process owners, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and platform planning discussions.

6. Troubleshooting & Support

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide L3 support for ServiceNow modules and integrations.
• Optimize scripts, workflows, and platform performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 610 years of hands-on development experience in ServiceNow .
• Strong proficiency in:
• ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Request)
• CMDB & Discovery (Probes, Sensors, Patterns, CI Classes, Reconciliation)
• Integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server, scripted APIs)
• Strong scripting skills:
• JavaScript (client & server)
• Glide API
• Script Includes, ACLs, Business Rules, etc.
• Experience with Flow Designer , Integration Hub , or ATF is a plus.
• Strong understanding of ITIL practices.
