Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team: The role sits within the Bankwest Technology division. Bankwest is a subsidiary of The Commonwealth Bank, and the Bankwest Technology division (BWT) is accountable for maintaining system resilience and supporting the delivery of our bold technology strategy at pace and scale.

Bankwest Technology consists of Platforms and Chapters underpinned by areas of expertise that manage Bankwest technology, applications and systems to support the Bankwest business. Bankwest Technology is located primarily in Bankwest Place in Perth, WA and has a total approx. 650 employees.

Bankwest Technology is made up of the following areas of expertise:

  • Technology Programs
  • Engineering and Automation
  • Strategy & Agility
  • GTS Technology Platforms and Service Management
  • Chief Technology Office
  • Risk and Control Advisory and Delivery

Impact & contribution: As a Software Engineer you are:

  • Have proven experience in developing and maintaining .NET Applications & solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Angular and .NET technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of .Net frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with database design, optimization, and integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving projects from concept to delivery.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • A commitment to staying current with industry trends and continuously enhancing technical skills.

 Roles & responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications and .NET-based solutions.
  • Worked on Automation frameworks, scripting knowledge of Sahi, DevTest and Playwright is a plus.
  • Able to understand and hands-on with RESTful API’s.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products..

Essential Skills: -

  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience with expert level knowledge, working with the following languages.
  • Have proven experience in developing and maintaining .NET Applications & solutions.
  • Design, develop, and customize solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) integrated with MS Dynamics 365 to meet business needs.
  • Leverage .NET (C#) development to build custom plugins, APIs, and integrations, ensuring seamless communication between Dynamics and external systems.
  • Experience with database design, optimization, and integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving projects from concept to delivery.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in engineering in Information Technology.
