Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

Impact & Contribution:
The Complaints Transformation is responsible for delivering solutions for the Commonwealth Bank’s Digital complaints transformation.
Our world class solutions include the CommBank Mobile & Tablet Apps, NetBank and the CommBank website.
You will play a key role building apis and applications and mentoring junior resources to support the delivery across multiple technical teams and platforms in a manner consistent with business, ES and Digital Technology strategy.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Senior Software Engineer will work with our chapter lead, crew tech lead and/or other solution/ enterprise architectures and will be working in a team.
- He / she will be focusing on the design and overall solution for development and deployment to our cloud infrastructure.
- Will optimize solutions to simplify our technology landscape. Solve complex, technical challenges so crews can focus on business outcomes.
- Utilise strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes.
- Promote best engineering principles and practices into project work
- Should be willing to get into any sort of work not restricted to anything specific.
- Continually learning modern technology best practices and bring them back to the group. Go above and beyond in improving quality and performance in the delivery of efficient, reliable and maintainable application and solutions that meet design and requirements specifications for technology projects.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.
Essential Skills:
- 7+ years of experience into .NET Core and .NET Framework, REST APIs, Microservices, streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Strong experience in design and overall solution for multiple enterprise level projects.
- HTML5, CSS and Javascript. Also, strong in one of the JS frameworks - either Angular or React. Preferably React.
- Excellent knowledge of OOPS concepts and design patterns.
- CI/CD: Any Git tool for source control. Build tools like TeamCity or Jenkins and experience with deployment tooling like Octopus or similar. Proficient knowledge of Dockers and Kubernetes.
- Familiarization with splunk or any observability tools and performance tooling like AppDynamics.
- Either of the relational databases like MSSQL / Oracle. Also, any No-SQL database like MongoDB etc.
- Excellent communication skills. Working experience with Agile methodologies.
- Possess qualities of a mentor who can technically guide junior engineers.
- Proficiency in any of Cloud providers. Preferably AWS or Azure
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
