Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

As an Engineer, you will be required to build strong working relationships with key business and stakeholders to improve outcomes, drive engineering standards across the group, identify engineering improvement opportunities to improve our status on risk, compliance, vulnerabilities and general health of our technical solutions, while improving our E2E engineering outcomes to drive better technical outcomes across BB Tech.
Roles & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python programming and hold an AWS certification. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet our business needs.
Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Utilize AWS services to build and deploy scalable applications.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Essential Skills:
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Python programming.
AWS certification is required.
Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Experience in Ab Initio tools including Control Centre, BRE & GDE will be a plus.
Experience with OTC derivative trade reporting experience highly regarded.
Proven ETL & Datawarehouse experience in large complex environment.
Possesses 3 years of AWS experience along with the AWS developer associate certification.
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
