Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
Experience in Kernel development and architecting and developing distributed systems design.
Experience developing Spark, Hive, Iceberg, Hudi, Delta, or similar analytical engines.
Experience with database internals and building distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with monitoring and observability technologies.
Experience with Open Telemetry, JMX and other monitoring solutions.
Familiarity with open source data analytics tools such as Apache YARN, Spark, Hive, Flink, etc.

Responsibilities

Enhance lake house technologies for performance, security and monitoring.
Extend open source technologies to improve their debuggability, observability, and supportability.
Build dataproc observability infrastructure and applications using the latest Google technologies for monitoring, logging and tracing.
Build the monitoring infrastructure required for trusted partner clouds.
