Role Overview

Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SD2 / SD3) who is strong in backend engineering and infrastructure, and has hands-on experience deploying AI/ML workloads in production.

This role is about building and operating systems, not doing ML research.

What Youll Do

• Design and build scalable backend services using JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
• Own PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, and query optimization
• Use Redis for caching, queues, and performance-critical paths
• Design and maintain APIs consumed by mobile and web apps
• Build async and background processing systems
• Deploy and operate custom ML / AI models as part of backend workflows
• Work on cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance
• Participate in architecture discussions and mentor engineers

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with Redis
• Experience designing scalable backend systems
• Experience with cloud infrastructure
• Experience deploying custom ML / AI models in production
• (model serving, batch jobs, inference pipelines not research)

Good to Have

• Docker and Kubernetes
• Message queues (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring and alerting
• Experience with AI workloads (embeddings, classification, automation)
• Exposure to cost optimization for compute-heavy systems
