How You Will Contribute:

As a Senior S/w Engineer of the Optics Team, you will add SW support of various optics, specifically Wavelogic 5 series (QSFP-DD, CFP2DCO), NPI optics and various other chosen optics, as decided and requested by PLM team from time to time

• You will be working in optics field (MSA/CMIS)
• You will have to do cross-functional collaboration with HW team, modem team et al.
• To follow roadmap discussions, You will regularly engage with Ciena system architects.
• you are expected to have regular discussions with other team members.

The Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Embedded C programming, Linux environment.
• Good knowledge of MSA/CMIS and other optics standards.
• Data and telecommunications experience (OTN and Ethernet)
• Knowledge of and experience with pluggable transceivers
