Senior Software Engineer- MERN

Experience - 3 to 5 Years

Job Location- Pune / Remote

Backend Development:

Proficient in Node.js with frameworks like Express or NestJS

Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs (CRUD, pagination, error handling)

Authentication & Authorization

Implementation of login flows using email/password, OTP

Experience with JWT-based session management

Payment Gateway Integration (MANDATORY)

Integrated with at least one payment gateway (e.g., Stripe, Razorpay, Adyen)

Experience in subscription creation, renewal, webhook handling, and payment failures

AppCues Support (MANDATORY)

Backend logic for:

Route-aware redirection

Support for AppCues-triggered deep links

Seamless user journey support without native interference

Database Knowledge

Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and one NoSQL store (e.g., MongoDB)

Query writing, joins, indexing, and simple optimizations

Cloud Basics

Deployment experience on AWS, GCP, or Azure

Familiarity with EC2, S3, or serverless functions (basic level)

Testing & Version Control

Familiarity with unit testing and API validation using tools like Jest/Postman

Experience using Git and participating in PR/code reviews

Experience with:

Advanced payment flows (multi-currency, promo codes, retry logic)

Deep AppCues integration scenarios (multi-step journeys, fallback routing)

Mobile-first backend design (offline fallback, minimal payloads)

Serverless functions (e.g., AWS Lambda, Firebase)

Agile workflows (story estimation, grooming, retrospectives)

API documentation tools (Swagger, Postman collections)
