Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience with Android application development, including experience with the Kotlin/Java tech stack as well as C++ and Rust.
Experience with Android development, including OS-level or Pixel-related work.
Experience with mobile development and systems like device platforms, API development, or infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with search and large language models.
Experience with ChromeOS, iOS, or other platforms.
Experience in the development and deployment of machine learning models.
Experience with infrastructure that is used by other teams for application development, either on mobile or in the cloud.

Responsibilities

Solve ambiguous, challenging, and impactful problems.
Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex problems at the intersection of devices, personalization, privacy, and agentic AI solutions.
Lead the design and implementation of new features and capabilities within the Multi-device Data Infrastructure (MDI) team.
Stay up-to-date on new research and developments in the rapidly evolving GenAI and privacy spaces.
Mentor and develop other team members, fostering a collaborative environment and high-quality engineering practices.
