Senior SEO Specialist

Broad Function:

As an SEO Specialist you will be responsible for generating leads, on-page, technical, and content optimization for search engines and AI platforms (AEO/GEO). Enhance domain authority through ethical link-building, leverage AI and automation tools for scalable insights, and track performance using GA4, GSC, SEMrush, and Ahrefs. Strengthen local SEO in India and the US while staying ahead of evolving AI and algorithm trends.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategy & Execution:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive AI-SEO strategy covering search engines and AI platforms.
• Build SEO roadmaps for Smartboxs verticals (apartments, retail, logistics, universities, hospitality).

On-Page & Technical SEO:

• Optimize site structure, speed, schema markup, mobile responsiveness, crawlability, and indexability.
• Implement structured data to maximize visibility in AI search and rich snippets.

Content Optimization & AI Discoverability:

• Create and optimize content for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
• Ensure Smartbox shows up in AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) through structured content, FAQs, and schema.
• Partner with content/marketing to build SEO-driven landing pages, case studies, and thought-leadership content.

White-Hat Link Building & Authority Growth:

• Build domain authority through partnerships, PR mentions, guest articles, HARO, influencer collaborations not toxic link spam.

AI Tools & Automation:

• Use AI tools (e.g., Surfer SEO, Jasper, Clearscope) to optimize content at scale.
• Leverage automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier) to track rankings, monitor competitors, and generate insights.

Analytics & Reporting:

• Track and report SEO performance using GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
• Measure traffic, leads, conversions, and AI visibility, not just keyword rankings.
• Provide clear, actionable insights to leadership.

Local SEO:

• Strengthen local presence in India and US through GMB optimization, NAP consistency, local citations, and region-specific landing pages.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates and AI discovery trends.
• Run competitor analysis and experiments to find untapped opportunities.
