Purpose: As a Data Engineer, you transform business and data requirements into efficient pipelines that deliver high-quality data assets across all medallion layers. You design and optimize data flows, collaborate with architects on solutions, ensure performance and reliability, and promote reuse through documentation and knowledge sharing.

Main Responsibilities:

• ELT Implementation: Translate requirements into Extract-Load-Transform pipelines for bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Design Collaboration: Work closely with Data Architects for optimal technical solution designs.
• Adoption Collaboration: Work with Analytical Engineers, AI Engineers and Data Analyst to make sure that your data assets fit the need.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance for reliability and scalability.
• Knowledge Sharing: Promote asset reuse through documentation, collaboration, and technical training.
• Deploy & Support: Deploy, monitor, and provide third-level support for data assets.

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles working with agile product development teams​.
• 1 to 2+ years of experience in Data Platforms, resp. SAP Datasphere is mandatory. SAP Analytics Cloud and Azure Databricks is beneficial.
• Expert in at least one programming language (Python, Scala, etc.)​.
• Any Data Engineering certification would be plus.
• Good communication and experience in working with matrix organization is a plus.
