SAP ABAP Developer (710 Years)

Primary Skills:

ABAP on HANA | CDS Views | RAP | ATC | Custom Code Migration | S/4HANA Conversion Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with strong proficiency in ABAP on HANA, modern development frameworks (CDS, RAP), and extensive hands-on experience in Custom Code Migration during technical upgrades or S/4HANA conversion projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ABAP on HANA Development- Develop and optimize ABAP code using HANA pushdown techniques CDS, AMDP, SQL Script.- Refactor classical ABAP logic using modern Open SQL.- Improve performance leveraging HANA capabilities.

2. Custom Code Migration & Remediation- Execute ATC S/4HANA readiness checks and manage remediation lifecycle.- Handle obsolete syntax, native SQL, DDIC changes, data model adjustments.- Prepare and validate custom code adaptation worklists.

3. Advanced Technical & Repository Analysis- Troubleshooting and impact analysis for programs, classes, enhancements.- Dependency mapping and version analysis.- Runtime debugging and performance optimization.

4. CDS View & RAP Model Development- Develop CDS views with associations & annotations (Analytics, UI, OData).- Build RAP BO models with behavior definitions, validations, determinations, draft handling.- Support Fiori/RAP-based transactional applications.

5. S/4HANA Conversion / Upgrade Activities- SUM DMO checks, ATC corrections, SPAU/SPDD adjustments.- Coordinate with Basis/DB teams during migration cycles.- Support hypercare and post-go-live remediation.

6. Core ABAP Development- OOP ABAP, Enhancements, BAPIs, OData, IDocs, RFCs.- Smartforms/Adobe Forms.- Debugging and performance tuning (SAT, ST12, SQLM, ST05).

Mandatory Skills:-

ABAP on HANA (CDS, AMDP, SQL Script)- Custom Code Migration for S/4HANA- ATC and code quality frameworks - RAP model development- Strong debugging and tuning skills- Experience in system conversion/technical upgrades

Good to Have:- Functional awareness across FI/MM/SD- ADT/Eclipse-based development- Fiori annotations via CDS- BTP ABAP exposure- DevOps concepts (gCTS/CTS+) Soft Skills:- Strong analytical mindset- Good communication & documentation- Ability to work independently & collaboratively Education:- BE / BTech / MCA / MSc (Computer Science or related)
