Job Description

Summary/Objective

Emburse is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to design, build, and optimize scalable Salesforce solutions supporting Sales, Renewals, and Quote-to-Contract processes. This role serves as a senior technical contributor within the Lead-to-Contract team, responsible for translating business requirements into high-quality, maintainable Salesforce solutions.


The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce development expertise, a strong understanding of sales operations, and the ability to assess gaps quickly and implement durable solutions that improve data quality, automation, and system reliability while minimizing customization.


Essential Functions

  • Design and develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations.
  • Partner with the Director of Lead to Contract, Salesforce Admins, and RevOps to implement enhancements across lead management, opportunity lifecycle, renewals, and quoting workflows.
  • Build and maintain scalable automation to reduce manual work and improve sales efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce Salesforce development standards, including code quality, testing, documentation, and release management.
  • Support and enhance integrations between Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ, Marketo, HubSpot, BillingPlatform(), NetSuite, other commonly used GTM tools integrating with Salesforce and data platforms.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for production issues and deliver long-term fixes (not just patches).
  • Participate in release planning, testing, and deployment cycles to ensure stable and predictable releases.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across the Salesforce delivery team.
  • Proactively identify technical debt and recommend improvements to system architecture and performance.


Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in a SaaS or enterprise environment.
  • Salesforce certifications including Application Architect, Data Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Platform App Builder Certification, Platform Developer, and Administrator.
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience working with Sales Cloud and complex opportunity / renewal workflows.
  • Familiarity with CPQ implementations and quote-to-contract processes preferred.
  • Experience with M&A integrations of systems is a plus.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce NetSuite, billing, data platforms and other applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to independently assess gaps and implement solutions.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification preferred.
