Role Overview

iD Fresh Food is Indias leading fresh and wholesome food brand, known for bringing authentic, preservative-free foods to modern consumers. As we expand our footprint in the United States, we are looking for entrepreneurial business development professionals who understand the Indian ethnic food ecosystem and can scale our frozen and chilled product categories across key channels.


The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving distribution, revenue growth, and market presence for iD Fresh Food in the US. The role will focus primarily on Indian ethnic retail chains, standalone stores, and specialized distributors handling frozen and chilled food categories, with a strong emphasis on key Indian ethnic markets such as the New York Tri-State area, Chicago, and California, and opportunities to expand into mainstream retail.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow business with Indian ethnic retailers in the US, including large regional/national chains and high-potential standalone stores
  • Drive expansion across high-density Indian ethnic markets such as New York Tri-State, Chicago, California, Seattle, Atlanta etc.
  • Leverage existing networks and relationships to expand listings, improve distribution depth, and increase market penetration
  • Build and manage strong relationships with distributors of Indian ethnic frozen and chilled foods
  • Lead commercial discussions covering pricing, margins, rebates, trade terms, and contractual conditions in line with market norms
  • Identify new distribution opportunities and onboard suitable partners for frozen/chilled categories
  • Track competitive activity and provide insights on category players, operating models, and go-to-market strategies
  • Work closely with internal teams on forecasts, launches, promotions, and execution plans
  • Represent iD Fresh Food at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as needed


Key Experience & Requirements

  • Strong network, relationships, and familiarity with Indian ethnic retailers in the US, especially large chains and high-volume standalone stores
  • Hands-on exposure to major Indian ethnic markets such as New York Tri-State, Chicago, and California
  • Established relationships with distributors handling Indian ethnic frozen or chilled food categories
  • Solid understanding of the US ethnic food market, including pricing structures, distributor/retailer margins, rebates, and commercial T&Cs
  • Good knowledge of frozen and chilled food categories, preferably within Indian or South Asian cuisine
  • Proven ability to independently drive business development and close commercial agreements


Preferred / Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of key players in Indian frozen/chilled food categories and their operating models
  • Existing relationships with mainstream US retailers or category buying teams associated with frozen or ethnic food categories
  • Experience scaling emerging or challenger food brands in the US market
