Job Description
About the Role: The Economic Times is looking for experienced Financial Services/Corporate Reporters to deepen ET Prime's coverage of the stocks/money/wealth management, and companies. You will focus on producing in-depth, analytical stories that go beyond headlines uncovering business strategies, regulatory developments, shifts in market trends, and individuals who are driving performance and change. The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of reporting experience, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to explain complex developments to common readers interested in business and money.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-researched, insight-driven articles on stocks, IPOs, companies, policy, and investment trends.
- Identify and build a network of industry leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
- Offer sharp analysis on developments at the intersection of markets and business.
- Collaborate with editors to develop long-form reports, thematic series, and explainers.
Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in journalism, preferably covering businesses and markets.
- Academic background in economics is desirable.
- Strong analytical, writing, and interviewing skills.
- Ability to synthesize technical and market information into accessible, high-impact narratives.
- Understanding of the market ecosystem: brokers, mutual funds, AIFs, wealth managers, and investment banking.
- Comfortable with deadlines and a premium content publishing environment.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with long-form journalism.
- Familiarity with data journalism, visual storytelling, or multimedia content creation is a plus.
