Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To assess, monitor, and enhance business performance at various manufacturing sites in the region. To analyze current practices and develop business process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous performance improvement. Overall responsibility to monitor and facilitate Excellence in Operations (XO) Pillars as per PRI Methodology in the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze Business Processes: Analyze existing business processes using various methods such as gap analysis or PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) to find opportunities for improvement as well as losses and troubleshoot further to determine root causes.
  • Develop Strategies: Act as SME, deploy short and long-term strategies for the region incorporating Six Sigma, Agile, TPM, Lean and other practices. The goal is to facilitate progress, reduce costs enhance quality and performance. Establish performance measurement and monitoring tools as well as maturity profiling of various industrial sites.
  • Lead Activities: To coordinate and lead key projects for improvement across all levels of the organization. Collaborate with several teams across functions and hierarchy to re-engineer processes.
  • Monitor Progress: To monitor progress in order to check if changes yield desirable results. Establish measurable standards at the start of a project and then compare actual project results against these, regularly generate detailed update reports for management.
  • Provide Mentorship: To coach, coordinate workshops and team trainings, openly sharing guidance and technical expertise and ensuring that learning resources are widely available. Staying up to date with developments in management and process optimization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • M.Tech/B-Tech in Mechanical/Industrial/Production
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering function in large FMCG industry of good repute, out of which 5-7 years for independently driving Operational Excellence at the corporate or at manufacturing sites.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Lean concepts (i.e. 5S, Kanban, SMED, VSM etc.)
  • Structured problem-solving experience (i.e. DMAIC, PDCA, CAPA)
  • Black Belt or Green Belt certified very good knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Strong Auditing Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing process and Risk Analysis
  • Risk & Crisis Management
  • Project and Change management expertise
  • Operations Planning optimization
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Good written and verbal communication to driving meetings and building consensus.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience in change management processes
  • Well versed with MS Office, MS projects
