Senior Rebar Detailer (US Projects)

IMMEDIATE OPENING:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Rebar Detailer at Studio Emerge . The candidate will be responsible for leading rebar detailing projects for US construction . This includes preparing, reviewing, and coordinating rebar shop drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and fabrication details while ensuring compliance with ACI (American Concrete Institute) codes, CRSI (Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute) standards, and project specifications . The Senior Rebar Detailer will also mentor junior detailers, manage project timelines, and liaise with structural engineers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the preparation of rebar shop drawings and BBS
• Ensure strict compliance with ACI, CRSI, and US construction standards
• Review and verify detailing work for accuracy and constructability
• Resolve clashes and coordination issues with engineers, fabricators, and contractors
• Interpret and incorporate RFIs, submittals, and revisions into detailing work
• Optimize reinforcement detailing for efficient fabrication and installation
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality control
• Train and mentor junior detailers , ensuring adherence to standards

Qualifications & Skills Required

• 3+ years of experience in rebar detailing, with a focus on US projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, RebarCAD, ASA, Soule, or similar rebar detailing software
• In-depth knowledge of ACI codes, CRSI standards, and US rebar detailing practices
• Experience in complex rebar detailing for high-rise, commercial, and infrastructure projects
• Strong problem-solving skills to handle constructability challenges and coordination issues
• Ability to lead a team, review work, and ensure high-quality detailing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, contractors, and fabricators
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
