Your team:

This role is part of our KYC (Know Your Customer) team -- they are responsible for understanding more about people who want to trade on our platform using digital services like identity verification.

Your role in the Team's Success:

Your primary responsibility will be building the react native mobile app that will integrate with API’s hosted on AWS. You will be part of a team of 6 software engineers building features end to end and work with other teams in IG as well as our third-party integration provider. 

What you'll do:

• Design and develop high-quality, production-ready features for our React Native application 
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features with excellent UX  
• Implement secure authentication flows and session management. 
• Optimize application performance, focusing on responsiveness and efficiency  
• Resolve complex technical issues and improve application architecture  
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers  
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability  
• Work in an Agile environment, applying methodologies such as pair programming, test-driven development (TDD), and behaviour-driven development (BDD). 

What you'll need for this role:

• 10+ years of professional experience with React Native development  
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency  
• Familiarity with charting libraries and real-time data visualisation 
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and secure data handling  
• Knowledge of React Native performance optimisation techniques  
• Familiarity with native modules and third-party integrations  
• Experience with automated testing frameworks for React Native 
• Understanding of App Store and Google Play submission processes
