What Youll Be Doing (position summary):

The Senior Quality Engineering Coordinator is accountable for leading and managing quality engineering and assurance activities across a program, workstream, or multiple projects/initiatives. This role ensures the development, execution, and continuous improvement of test strategies, plans, automation, and quality standards to support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions. The Senior Quality Engineering Coordinator adds value by driving best practices, compliance, and innovation in software testing.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):

Test Strategy, Planning, and Execution

• Develop, publish, manage, and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, status reports, defect logs, and exit reports
• Identify and obtain required test data and test environments
• Develop, publish, and manage testing estimates and financials

Team Leadership and People Management

• Manage and lead the testing activities of a workstream, program, or multiple projects/initiatives
• Manage and lead a team of test analysts, including capacity management, performance management related to assigned projects/initiatives, productivity and quality of the teams work, and required compliance
• Build team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

• Ensure adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards
• Recognize and identify areas where policies, processes, procedures, tools/methodologies need to be changed or developed, or can be improved Identify and implement continuous improvements
• Track and report QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as velocity, defect slippage, etc
• Identify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations

Technical and Domain Expertise

• Provide technical input and feedback on design, assess impact to testing, and find QA automation solutions based on the solution being implemented
• Identify and implement automation, AI, or other emerging solutions to expedite testing, improve quality, and reduce costs
• Apply extensive knowledge of software quality assurance, quality management, and problem-solving methodologies

Experience: 4+ years of experience

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

Must Have Skills:

• Proficient in testing and troubleshooting Rest API, SOAP web services and gRPC interfaces
• Strong understanding of API protocols and standards, being able to validate request and response structures, and demonstrate experience integrating and automating API-driven workflows in complex environments
• Programming languages commonly used for automation (Python / Java / JavaScript).
• Database testing - SQL knowledge, Data Migration and ETL testing
• Version control systems for code management, e.g. Git
• Writing and reviewing test plans/cases & Defect Management.
• 4+ years of experience in QA/QE, 1-3 years of experience in development
• Jira, Confluence, and/or other similar Agile, development, and QA tools
• ParaSoft, Rest API, Postman, and/or other API testing tools
• GitHub CoPilot or other Gen AI-based tools are good to have.
• UNIX testing skills: running and verification of the batch jobs, reports, or data loads
