Role: Senior QA Engineer / SDET

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our cross-functional technology team. In this role, youll play a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions by combining strong manual and automation testing expertise.

Youll work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Developers in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define testing scope, strategies, test plans, and test cases for projects
• Perform end-to-end testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, security, mobile, UI/UX, and cross-platform testing
• Execute manual testing (black-box & white-box) and automation testing
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts across UI, API, and database layers
• Work with automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber/SpecFlow, Rest Assured, Postman, etc.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate and prepare test data
• Log, track, and document defects and test results using test management tools
• Identify testing risks and technical challenges early in the project lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in QA / SDET / Software Testing
• Experience testing web and desktop applications
• Working knowledge of:
• Java / C# / JavaScript / Python (preferred)
• HTML, CSS, React, ASP .Net
• Databases: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
• Strong experience with automation frameworks and testing tools
• Solid understanding of Agile & Waterfall methodologies
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of business domains like HR, healthcare, finance, energy, or procurement
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
• Exposure to BDD, Object-Oriented Design, and modern QA practices
