Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Lead to join a global engineering program supporting mission-critical, enterprise-grade software platforms used by large North American organizations.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with strong ownership over automation strategy, framework design, and CI/CD integration. You will play a key role in raising automation standards across the engineering organization and mentoring other QA engineers as the team scales.

The position is based in Noida , working closely with international stakeholders in an autonomous delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework & Architecture

• Design, develop, and evolve scalable and maintainable automation frameworks using Selenium and related libraries
• Build and maintain robust UI automation using advanced XPath strategies
• Design and implement REST API automation suites (e.g. RestAssured) covering critical business logic
• Ensure framework stability, reusability, and long-term maintainability

Test Execution, CI/CD & Reporting

• Configure and manage test execution using TestNG (grouping, parallel execution, environments)
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Maven
• Implement and maintain automation reporting solutions (e.g. Allure, ReportPortal)
• Provide clear insights on test results, trends, failures, and quality metrics

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Act as automation technical lead for the program
• Review automation code and enforce best practices
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on framework usage and automation strategy
• Contribute to internal documentation, standards, and technical knowledge sharing

Environment & Tooling Management

• Configure and maintain automation execution environments , primarily on Linux
• Troubleshoot automation issues across environments
• Create and maintain supporting scripts (e.g. Bash) for test execution and maintenance

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• 8+ years of experience in Software QA and Test Automation
• Strong expertise with Selenium (including complex or non-trivial automation scenarios)
• Deep hands-on experience with TestNG
• Advanced knowledge of XPath
• Practical experience with Maven for test execution and CI/CD integration
• Solid experience working in Linux environments
• Hands-on experience with automation reporting tools (Allure, ReportPortal, or similar)
• Proven experience with REST API automation (RestAssured preferred)

Nice-to-Have

• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• Programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, or Groovy
• Experience integrating security or performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Previous experience leading automation strategy or managing a small QA team
