Senior QA Engineer / Senior SDET

Experience: 4 6 Years

Location: Bangalore (On-site)

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / Senior SDET who can take end-to-end ownership of quality across Web, API, and Mobile (Android/iOS) platforms. This role involves a balanced mix of manual, exploratory, and automation testing , with a strong focus on building scalable automation frameworks and enabling fast, reliable releases.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to identify risks early, improve test coverage, and continuously raise the quality bar.

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium
• Perform manual, exploratory, and functional testing across web, mobile, and API layers
• Automate functional, regression, and smoke test suites for UI and APIs
• Validate APIs using tools like Postman, Rest Assured , and custom automation
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps to ensure smooth and timely releases
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and proactively highlight quality risks
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tools, and best practices
  

• 46 years of experience in QA (Manual + Automation) roles
• Strong hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Solid experience in API testing using Postman / Rest Assured
• Good understanding of databases and SQL for data validation
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI , etc.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and drive quality initiatives
  

• Experience testing mobile applications (Android/iOS)
• Knowledge of Docker / cloud-based test execution
• Experience with performance or security testing
• Mentoring junior QA engineers or leading test efforts
