Role Description

Were looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Pune. In this role, youll ensure the reliability and scalability of our platform by embedding quality into every stage of development. Youll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to drive an automation-first culture and help us deliver seamless, high-quality releases at speed.

What Youll Do:

• Build, scale, and maintain automated test frameworks like Selenium / Playwright / and the Page Object Model (POM) .
• Write clean, reliable end-to-end , regression , and API tests in JavaScript/TypeScript .
• Design and execute test strategies across web and backend (REST/GraphQL) layers.
• Integrate automated test suites into GitHub Actions for continuous testing and validation.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement shift-left testing and ensure early QA involvement.
• Identify and close test coverage gaps to improve product stability and release confidence.
• Manage test data, mocks, and stubs for distributed microservices.
• Track and report quality metrics , test coverage, and automation health.
• Contribute to QA best practices, peer reviews, and documentation.

What Were Looking For:

• At least 5 years experience working as a QA and atleast 3 years as a QA Automation engineer
• Proven expertise with Playwright / Selenium etc and POM-based test architecture .
• Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (REST, GraphQL) and mocking tools.
• Familiarity with Docker , containerized test environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of the testing pyramid and shift-left principles .
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and fluency in English.

Desirable skills:

• Experience with performance testing (k6, Artillery).
• Knowledge of security, contract, or snapshot testing .
• Exposure to AWS or cloud-native microservices.
• Contributions to open-source testing frameworks or tools.

Bonus: AWS exposure, performance/security testing, or open-source QA contributions.
