Were looking for an experienced Senior Python/Django Developer/Team Lead to join our team at WNPL, working remotely from India to support our Sydney-based operations. Youll be the technical leader for our core application development, focusing on delivering scalable, high-performance web solutions using Python and Django . This role includes significant team leadership, mentorship, and architecture responsibilities.

Experience : 7 - 15 Years

Salary : 8 - 18 Lakhs PA

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable applications using Python and Django.
• Mentor and guide intermediate and junior developers, driving code quality and best practices.
• Define and implement system architecture improvements for scalability and reliability.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain high standards for testing and deployment.
• Collaborate directly with Australian stakeholders and Product Owners to define technical roadmaps.
• Ensure application security, performance tuning, and efficient database interaction.

Must-Haves

• 7+ years of solid, proven experience as a Python Developer.
• Expert-level mastery of the Django framework (REST APIs, ORM, security).
• Strong Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead a team, mentor developers, and drive technical decisions.
• Deep Understanding of Python Ecosystem: Expertise in leveraging Python's standard library and "batteries-included" philosophy (Barratries).
• Excellent verbal and written communication in professional English.
• Able to collaborate directly with Australian clients/stakeholders.
• Ability to work full-time, remotely, and independently from India .

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with basic Google Cloud Platform (GCP) concepts.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Experience with Rabbit MQ, Celery
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Knowledge of modern containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Location & Work Style

• Full-time, Fully Remote position within India .
• Working hours will align with the Sydney, Australia business day.
• Own computer and reliable internet setup required.
