Role Overview

Werelooking for a Senior Python Engineer with strong backend fundamentals and hands-on experience working with LLMs, prompts, and AI-driven workflows.

Youllarchitect and build scalable microservices in Python while designing AI-integrated systems that leverage LLMs for document processing, classification, extraction, reasoning, and automation.

This is a hands-on remote roleoperatingduring US EST hours, ideal for an engineer who enjoys:

• Designing intelligent backend systems
• Working with AI agents and prompt pipelines
• Solving complex fintech workflow challenges
• Collaborating directly with US stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks).

Architect and implement AI-integrated workflows using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models, etc.).

Design, test, andoptimizeprompts for structured extraction, summarization, classification, and reasoning tasks.

Build intelligent pipelines that combine LLM outputs with rule engines and deterministic logic.

Integrate AI agents into financial workflows such as invoice processing, remittance interpretation, reconciliation, and document validation.

Design andoptimizeMongoDB or relational schemas for AI-augmented transactional workloads.

Implement async processing, job queues, and event-driven architectures whererequired.

Build secure REST APIs and microservices for internal and external consumption.

Collaborate with DevOps to deploy AI workloads in AWS environments.

Monitormodel performance, prompt drift, and response consistency in production.

Troubleshoot production issues across AI and backend layers.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to sprint planning and architectural discussions aligned to US hours.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of backend development experience in Python.

Strong experience withFastAPI, Flask, or Django (preferredFastAPI).

Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs into production systems.

Practical experience designing and iterating prompts for structured outputs.

Strong understanding of JSON schemas, response validation, and deterministic post-processing.

Experience working with MongoDB or relational databases.

Familiarity with async programming (asyncio, background workers, Celery, etc.).

Strong debugging and system design skills.

Comfortable working in distributed, remote teams aligned to US EST hours.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building AI agents or multi-step reasoning pipelines.

Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone,Weaviate, FAISS, etc.).

Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.

Exposure to prompt versioning, evaluation frameworks, and guardrail systems.

Experience in FinTech, ERP integrations, or payment systems.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, etc.).
