Role Description

We are looking for an experiencedPython backend engineerto join our team and help build advanceddata-driven featuresfor a global technology platform. You will design, implement, and deploy backend services that integrate with modernAI/ML solutions, including recommendation and personalization logic.

This is an excellent opportunity for a backend engineer who enjoys working withAI-enhanced productsand wants to play a key role in buildingscalable, ML-powered user experiences. Experience in recommendation systems is a strong advantage but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable backend services usingPython(FastAPI, Django, Flask)
• IntegrateML models and AI services(recommendations, personalization, semantic search, LLM-based features) into production APIs and data pipelines
• Collaborate withML engineers and product teamsto design and deliver AI-powered functionality
• Build efficient APIs to serve recommendations and AI-generated results atlow latency
• Work withvector databases(Qdrant, Pinecone, Elasticsearch, etc.) for similarity search and embedding-based retrieval
• Deploy, monitor, and scale services incloud environments(AWS preferred)
• Contribute tosystem design, architecture decisions, and performance optimization
• DevelopCI/CD pipelinesand ensure high code quality, testing, and observability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ yearsof Python backend development experience
• Strong knowledge ofbackend architecture, distributed systems, and scalable API design
• Proven experience building and deployingproduction-ready APIs
• Hands-on experience integratingML models or AI/LLM-based servicesinto backend systems
• Strong understanding ofprompt engineering ability to write, test, and optimize prompts for reliable, high-quality AI outputs
• Familiarity withcloud platforms(AWS preferred) and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Database experience:
• SQL: PostgreSQL / MySQL
• NoSQL: Redis, Elasticsearch
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in aremote team

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Experience withrecommendation systems or personalization pipelines
• Familiarity withvector databasesand embedding-based search
• Experience with structured prompt optimization frameworks such asDSPy
• Frontend integration experience (React, Next.js, GraphQL)
• Experience monitoring and improvingML/AI-powered production systems(Prometheus, Grafana)
• Understanding ofLLM evaluation, prompt versioning, and AI system observability
