Job Summary

The Senior Purchase & Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement function, including strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimisation, and risk management. This role ensures uninterrupted supply of materials and services while driving value, compliance, and long-term supplier partnerships aligned with organisational goals.

Qualifications

• Define and execute procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and mentor the purchase and procurement team.
• Manage high-value and critical supplier negotiations, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Develop and evaluate vendors based on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and services for operations.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Stores teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize working capital.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and alternate sourcing.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
• Manage procurement risks related to supply disruption, pricing volatility, and quality.
• Review purchase performance metrics and prepare MIS reports for management.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Strategic sourcing and advanced negotiation skills
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
• Deep understanding of supply chain, contracts, and inventory management
• Analytical mindset with cost optimisation focus
• Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and MS Excel
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Commerce (MBA preferred)
• 4-5 years of experience in purchase and procurement, preferably in manufacturing
• Proven experience handling strategic vendors and large procurement budgets
