A Day in the Life

The Public Sector Lead role is a key member of the Strategic Accounts Management (SAM) team within the Strategic Accounts Accelerator (SAA). SAA is a commercial enabler tasked with driving durable profitable growth, maximizing Medtronic’s presence, and unlocking new opportunities in key accounts.

This role is responsible for driving consistent execution of go-to-market (GTM) strategies, supporting strategic account management (SAM) teams, and enabling operational excellence in Public sector markets. This role collaborates across functions and provides frontline support to SAM teams to ensure commercial initiatives, tools, and processes are effectively implemented and optimized for customer success. With an emphasis on collaboration, this position helps identify growth opportunities, address operational challenges, and support training and onboarding initiatives to drive sustainable growth in Public sector markets.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Collaborate with SAA leadership to define and implement customer-type-specific GTM enablement strategies, ensuring consistent execution across teams
  • Tailor initiatives to meet the unique needs of Public sector markets and maximize growth opportunities
  • Provide day-to-day support to strategic account management and customer-facing teams, addressing operational questions and resolving challenges related to product allocation, order fulfillment, and other commercial activities
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives
  • Drive the consistent implementation of standardized sales processes and methodologies across teams, as defined by corporate commercial functions and/or the Innovation & Operational Excellence (IOe) unit
  • Monitor adherence, identify bottlenecks in the sales cycle, and collaborate with teams to address and resolve them
  • Support the Innovation & Operational Excellence (IOe) unit on the rollout of tools, resources, and enablement content, including training materials for new product or service launches
  • Monitor adoption rates, gather feedback, and act as a feedback loop between SAM teams and the IOe unit for further enhancement needs
  • Partner with the IOe unit and regional teams to execute growth campaigns and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and smooth implementation in Public sector markets
  • Provide frontline support for CRM and other sales tools, addressing usage issues, resolving challenges, and gathering feedback to drive tool enhancements
  • Recommend improvements to increase team productivity and effectiveness
  • Facilitate onboarding for new team members, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with team objectives
  • Assist in delivering training programs focused on tools, processes, and market-specific strategies – and provide coaching as needed
  • Analyze performance metrics, pipeline data, and forecast trends to provide actionable insights for leadership and support operational planning
  • Organize and facilitate team meetings, operational reviews, and enablement sessions to align objectives and monitor progress
  • Ensure adherence to commercial guidelines, tools, and processes to maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards
  • Serve as a centralized internal audit and risk management function, acting as a key point of contact for addressing compliance issues during commercial activities

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales enablement, or a related field. Proven experience working with customer-facing teams in Saudi , Egypt and Turkey
  • Expertise in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of private hospital systems and regional or cross-border account dynamics
  • Strong knowledge of go-to-market strategies and sales process standardization
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Quip), sales enablement and pricing/quoting tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving operational challenges
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics, pipeline data, and trends to support decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and functions
  • Ability to train and onboard teams effectively, delivering impactful enablement programs
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field

Preferably experience in change management and driving the adoption of tools and processes. Familiarity with commercial compliance standards and regulatory guidelines. Advanced data visualization skills to create dashboards and visual reports. Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in a similar role.
