Summary

About the Role

Manage Product and Project delivery and portfolio management in Agile and Waterfall, Define governance framework, coach and sanity check the delivery of projects and digital products across TSC-Manage the design, deployment and delivery of projects of medium complexity (determined by budget, timeline and stakeholder), providing IT solutions that meet business requirements. Direct project teams (externals) and maintain control of progress, quality, and budget to meet the desired business objectives.

Setup and run all project related meetings and maintain the record of actions, decisions, issues, risks and act the primary point of contact for all project related escalations. Ensure a smooth transition to operations and the optimal planning and execution of all activities associated with a release.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Product and Project Delivery: Oversee end-to-end delivery of products and projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Portfolio Management: Handle the portfolio of projects within the department, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient resource allocation.
  • Define Governance Framework: Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery across all projects.
  • Coaching: Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and agile practices. Sanity Check: Perform regular sanity checks on the progress and delivery of projects and digital products to ensure they meet the required standards and objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with GxP and CSV frameworks, adapting Novartis' methodology to meet business needs while maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • Collaboration: Partner effectively with the rest of TSC to ensure overall success in servicing our clients, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Projects are effectively managed, enabling them to be on time, to budget and to the expected quality level. Product & Project are aligned
  • Adherence to applicable Security and Compliance policies and controls; defined project.
  • management methodologies, tools, and practices; and to delivery processes for IT projects. Successful deployments, measured by project KPI’s .

Minimum Requirements:
 

  • Leading large and/or diverse multi-functional teams.
  • Financial Management, People Challenges, Project Management, takeholder Engagement.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management within a scientific or technological environment.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management.
  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies and in working in hybrid product/project scenarios
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of GxP and CSV frameworks and experience ensuring compliance in a regulated environment.
