Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in CRPO (Construction, Repair, and Project Operations) within the offshore oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on offshore oil and gas projects in a pure oil and gas environment. This role is based in Chennai and offers the opportunity to work with Lamprell, a leading global provider of engineering and contracting services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the engineering and execution of offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Manage and coordinate CRPO activities, including construction, repair, maintenance, and project operations for offshore facilities.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely and safe project delivery.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation, technical reports, and project schedules.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans related to offshore project engineering activities.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Support HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projects, specifically in CRPO roles.
• Proven experience working in pure oil and gas environments, preferably with EPC contractors or operators.
• Strong knowledge of offshore construction, repair, and maintenance processes and standards.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (API, ISO, OSHA, etc.).
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proficient in project management software and engineering tools.

Preferred:

• Experience working in or around Chennai or willingness to relocate.
• Prior work experience with Lamprell or similar companies is a plus.
