Position Summary

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a high performing versatile senior-level Job Posting Titled Senior Product Specialist (Product Management) to join the Engineering Product Systems team. The Product Systems team provides comprehensive software solutions to rapidly access and visually transform complex engineering and manufacturing product data. Responsibilities include development and integration for a variety of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and in house software application supporting our engineering/manufacturing teams. Job requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Other qualities for this candidate are a positive attitude, self-motivated, the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs activities to identify and pursue market opportunities for Information Technology products and Leads customer engagements and analyzes customer, competitor and market data to develop IT product strategy, concepts and capabilities. 
• Develops business case and product plans and Oversees creation of business and functional requirements and product roadmaps
• Adjusts product capabilities and strategy to meet financial targets.
• Develops plans for entry of IT products in external market and supports product demonstrations, value propositions and represents/promotes IT products internally and externally.
• Define and align the product’s long-term vision and strategy with business goals, market trends, and customer needs, while creating and managing a prioritized roadmap to drive impactful initiatives efficiently.
• Facilitate Agile team processes and execution, ensuring the team follows Agile principles and practices, removes impediments, and fosters continuous and supporting the team in delivering value by coordinating with other teams and aligning with the larger Agile Release Train objectives.
• Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive User Acceptance Testing plans, including test case creation, test execution, and defect management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, validate, and document detailed business requirements.
• Regularly contribute to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards, serving as a recognized expert within the department and organization.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues, prioritizing and driving resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Provide expert guidance on development/testing best practices and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Boeing’s IT tools, methodologies, and security standards throughout all testing activities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Manage IT compliance activities and ensure that timely actions are put in place
• Manage data calls, planned and unplanned with minimum delays

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Proven relevant experience managing software development teams with working knowledge of any language (Python/Java /.Net), especially with web-based applications.
• Strong experience in Managing Agile Teams and diligently following SAFe routines.
• Knowledge with any front-end technology (HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, ReactJS etc.)
• Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ALM tools (GitLab, PIP, Docker).
• Strong experience using Azure Dev Ops and Familiarity with CI/CD tools – Github, Gitlab, etc.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Perform work with minimal direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
• Plan, scope & deliver features while driving impact on key objectives and helping the teams solve roadblocks
• Manages highly skilled and diversified teams who design and develop software solutions to meet end user's requirements. Ensures that application integrates with overall system architecture, utilizing standard IT lifecycle methodologies and tools
• Set & drive the vision & mission for owned products/PODs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and prioritize an integrated product suite, emphasizing developer experience and productivity.
• Lead products through all stages, from inception to maturity, and manage transformations to other products when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Eye for Innovation, Process Improvements.
• Eye for user-focused design and UI/UX, is a plus.
• Having experience or academic background in the aerospace domain is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functions within a large organization.
• Experience partnering closely with senior leadership.
• Hands on experience of cloud computing platforms such as AWS.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Typically, 12-15 years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
