As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in the delivery and monitoring of various asset management regulatory rules and translating the regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions for new and existing customers. You will be responsible for driving the analysis of complex regulatory requirements and supporting junior team members as part of the Nasdaq Regulatory Reporting FinTech team.

You will have the opportunity to expand your prowess in the asset management space in a more practical setting as you become more involved in various client data and reporting scenarios. The role will lend itself to continued learning in the regulatory space by default but will also provide a much wider view of the operational workings of investment banking.
Your role and responsibilities:
We engage in research on various regulatory change logic, being responsible for the analysis and implementation of them into the solution.
Write solution specifications including Business Requirements and Functional Specifications for the solution development team.
Perform detailed analysis of various jurisdictional regulations, received either through AoSphere or directly from regulators.
Regularly monitor regulatory rule updates, ensuring solution remains fit-for-purpose with all regulatory requirements.
Navigate our Controller View platform to better understand the implementation of the regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions.
Liaise with the development team, providing business knowledge to ensure business requirements are clearly understood.
Guide the Quality Assurance team on scenarios to be tested, reviewing test cases and results.
We support the Pre-sales team in conducting Proof of Concepts and demos to potential clients.

We expect you to have
- At least 4-7 years of regulatory reporting experience, as a business or regulatory change analyst
- Experience in reviewing regulations and translating the requirements into functional specifications/business requirement documents
- Good understanding of key financial products, particularly equity-based instruments and a good understanding of the trade lifecycle of these instruments
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team in a multifaceted environment - especially key is working and presenting with more technically-inclined colleagues
Highly organized and methodical approach to analysis
Goal driven and self-motivated attitude
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines!
It would be great if you
- Previous experience working on any region's Substantial Holding, Short Selling or Takeover Panel reporting regulations is a plus
- Previous experience in Regulatory Change Management, preferably in the Asset Management industry
- Working knowledge of regulations like EMIR, SFTR, FinfraG, MAS, ASIC, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II.
- Working knowledge Trade Repositories like UnaVista, DTCC, CME-SDR, Regis-TR, Trax, and Trayport and ability to translate these requirements into specifications would be beneficial.
- Previous experience of working on defining eligibility and reportability rules for regulations like EMIR, SFTR, Dodd-Frank, etc. is an advantage and nice to have.
