Senior Product Engineer

Metaflow is an AI-native marketing automation platform, and were hiring a Senior Product Engineer someone who genuinely loves to code, moves fast with modern AI-native tools like Cursor and Claude Code, and also brings the maturity and rigor of traditional software engineering to build systems that are robust, scalable, and production-ready.

• 35 years of software development experience with strong backend + frontend fundamentals
• Experience building large-scale, high-performance, mission-critical systems that power complex customer workflows and large data processing
• Strong backend / platform engineering skills, ideally with experience building or shipping LLM-powered products
• Excited about LLMs and building systems that support and leverage them in production
• Can ramp quickly on our stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL
• Proven ability to design, architect, and scale distributed systems in production
• Can ship end-to-end: design code test deploy own in production
• Hands-on exposure to agent SDKs(openai, anthropic and gemini), plus frameworks LangChain / LangGraph, retrieval pipelines / RAG, AI evaluation systems, orchestration, and agent production reliability
• Exposure to generative UI (bonus)
• Strong product sense + ownership mindset thinks deeply about the user, not just the code
• Comfortable with tight feedback loops (hours, not days)

• Chennai (in-person / hybrid depending on fit)
• This is a real startup build phase: intense pace, ambitious timelines, high ownership
• Pay is reasonable for a startup, with meaningful equity the real upside is the impact you can make
