Job Description: Payroll Accounting and Processing
Position Overview: The Payroll Accounting and Processing role involves managing and overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process payrolls for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation-related transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, including tax filings and labor laws.
- Data Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records in the payroll system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular payroll reconciliations to ensure accuracy between payroll records and financial statements.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute various payroll reports for management, including payroll summaries, tax reports, and other ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly, providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in payroll processing and payroll accounting, preferably within a large organization.
- Tools: ADP Workforce, Workday, MS- Excel.
