Job Description
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup solutions using Veritas NetBackup.
Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful data backups and recoveries.
Perform regular system health checks and audits to maintain high availability and data integrity.
Collaborate with system, storage, and database administrators to develop and refine backup policies.
Manage backup infrastructure including media servers, storage devices, and cloud-based backup solutions.
Create and maintain documentation for backup procedures, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
Provide 24x7 support for backup and recovery issues as part of on-call rotation.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data protection and backup management.
Experience with backup on physical, virtual (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and other storage technologies.
Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Shell, or Python) for automation tasks.
Good knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies and best practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
