Job Description
Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable, reliable, and secure solutions on the AWS platform. Create detailed architecture designs, diagrams, and technical specifications.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to AWS best practices, architectural principles, and security standards. Mentor team members on AWS technologies and methodologies.
Deep understanding and hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services, including compute (e.g., EC2, Lambda), storage (e.g., S3, EBS), databases (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB), networking (e.g., VPC, Route 53), and security (e.g., IAM, KMS).
Lead or participate in the implementation of AWS-based solutions, including provisioning infrastructure, configuring services, and deploying applications. Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Architect solutions for scalability, performance, and high availability using AWS services and design patterns. Optimize infrastructure and applications for cost-effectiveness, resource utilization, and performance.
Implement security best practices and compliance standards in AWS solutions to protect data and infrastructure. Configure security controls, encryption, and access management using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and other AWS services.
Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and third-party monitoring tools. Monitor performance, availability, and security of AWS resources and applications.
Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) solutions using AWS services such as AWS Backup, AWS Disaster Recovery, and AWS Site-to-Site VPN.
Design cost-effective solutions and optimize AWS resource usage to minimize costs while maximizing performance and scalability. Monitor AWS billing and usage reports and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
Create comprehensive documentation for AWS solutions, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and best practices. Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams on AWS technologies and methodologies.
Build and maintain relationships with AWS representatives and service providers. Stay updated with the latest AWS features, updates, and roadmap to leverage new capabilities in solution designs.
Continuously assess the effectiveness of AWS solutions and identify opportunities for improvement. Propose and implement enhancements to optimize performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
