Job Description
Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable and resilient Layer 3 network architectures within the data center environment, including core, distribution, and access layers.
• Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP to ensure optimal routing and failover capabilities.
• Implement and manage VLANs, VRFs, and other network segmentation techniques to isolate and secure traffic within the data center.
• Deploy and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure in AWS cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain AWS network services such as VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, VPN, Transit Gateway, etc.
• Configure and manage network security groups, ACLs, and firewall policies to ensure secure communication within AWS environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the deployment of new applications, services, and infrastructure within the data center.
• Perform network capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure sufficient bandwidth and low latency for critical applications and services.
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Monitor network health and performance using tools such as SNMP, NetFlow, and packet captures.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data center networking, and evaluate their potential impact on the existing infrastructure.
