Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer Temporal
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Business & Team: CTO-Cloud Integration
Impact & contribution: The cloud movement at CommBank is going strong and continues to grow. We are looking for out of the box thinkers who want to use technology to work on real-world problems that have the potential to change the lives of our 17 million+ customers. The successful applicant will join a team tasked to manage the Temporal Platform for the bank. You will be expected to continually improve the services through DevSecOps model and ensure the platform is running 24*7
Roles & responsibilities:
- Ensure the platform is running 24/7 and respond to incidents as needed.
- Design and build all aspects of an enterprise platform, e.g. tooling, CI/CD, Security, Observability.
- Share engineering knowledge through presentation, blogs, videos with the broader engineering community.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and team to create relevant engineering roadmaps.
Essential skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience.
- Have experience in Software Engineering/DevSecOps/SRE.
- Highly proficient across foundational AWS services (IAM, Networking, IaC, Step Function Storage, Serverless/Lambda) is a must.
- Are passionate about Cloud/DevOps/Automation and possess a keen interest to solve complex problems in a systematic approach.
- Working with programming languages, such as Golang, is a must. Any additional languages like Typescript, Rust and Java are desirable.
- Highly proficient with code repositories and CI/CD tools like: GitHub, GitHub Action, GitLab, Artifactory
- Confident working with Infrastructure as Code - CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, Ansible will be highly desirable.
- Very good understanding of API development and lifecycle management.
- Experience with Temporal.io as developer or administrator highly desirable
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
