Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team: CST

Impact & contribution:

Coordinates the definition of business and functional requirements and provides specialist support for projects and operations, gathers information, documents and analyses business needs and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes.

Liaises with stakeholders to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organisation, and to recommend solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Possesses hands-on technical experience working in a public cloud environment either in AWS (preferred) or Azure.

• Are passionate about Cloud/DevOps/Automation and thrive on solving complex problems and opportunities in a systematic approach.

• Undertake solution design and engineering of reusable IT services, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.

• Practice engineering principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes.

• Analyse a wide range of technical data within systems and processes, to anticipate and address problems, or identify improvement opportunities.

• Identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with design or solution proposals.

• Advise on approach to service engineering and solution design, recommending alternative approaches where required.

• Software development according to program specifications and as directed.

Essential Skills:

• 6 - 8 years of practical, hands-on industry experience in a similar role.

• Experience with AWS, particularly Cloud Formation.

• Experience with building & optimising Docker containers.

• Experience with enabling CI/CD practices.

• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Git, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) or equivalent.

• Experience developing Kubernetes application solutions.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices and principles.

• Experience automating repetitive tasks using Python, Ansible, shell scripting, etc.

• Experience decomposing complex problems down into manageable components.

• Experience reviewing proposed code changes and recommending alterations.

• Able and willing to participate in hands-on configuration activities

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
