Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer – AWS & Data 

Location: Bangalore

Team: Platform Engineering – Data & Cloud 
Reports to: Chapter Lead, Engineering 

Business & Team: Corporate Technology

Impact & contribution:

Join a visionary team driving the evolution of Finance Systems, with a focus on Oracle EPM SaaS and cloud-native platforms. Architect, build, and operate robust automation and CI/CD pipelines, enabling seamless integration and delivery across AWS and Oracle Cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, build, challenge and operate scalable data platform solutions on AWS, leveraging both serverless (Lambda, Glue, Athena, Step Functions) and marketplace offerings (third-party data and analytics tools). 

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern tools (GitHub Actions, CI/CD or similar) to automate deployment, testing, and data workflows. 

  • Implement cloud-native architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code. 

  • Build and optimise data pipelines for ingestion, storage, transformation, Data Governance, and analytics using AWS services (Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, S3, Kinesis, SageMaker, Bedrock, Athena, Kibana, etc.). 

  • Integrate and automate testing services for data platforms, ensuring quality and reliability. 

  • Champion engineering standards: drive best practices in automation, code quality, and agile delivery. 

  • Mentor and influence: share knowledge, coach peers, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. 

  • Collaborate with Product Control stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet regulatory, financial, and operational requirements. 

Skills & Experience 

  • AWS Data Services Mastery: Proven experience with AWS serverless (Lambda, Glue, Athena, Step Functions) and marketplace data offerings. 

  • Data Engineering: Hands-on experience designing and building data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics solutions using AWS services. 

  • CI/CD Expertise: Designing and implementing pipelines for cloud and data environments. 

  • Technical Breadth: Python, SQL, shell scripting, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes. 

  • API Integration: Working with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and vendor SDKs. 

  • Testing & Quality: Experience with automated testing frameworks for data platforms. 

  • Security-first mindset: Experience with DevSecOps, compliance, and data protection. 

  • Agile delivery: Full-cycle development, from design to production support, in cross-functional teams. 

  • Collaboration & communication: Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, educate and influence, and thrive in a team environment. 

  • Experience with data lake architectures and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, EMR). 

  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data cataloguing. 

  • Exposure to machine learning workflows and MLOps in AWS. 

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch). 

  • Understanding of financial systems, product control, and regulatory requirements. 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or B.Tech
