Job Title: Sr Platform Engineer
Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park

Business & Team: You will be part of a Platform Engineering team that enables Cloud adoption for the rest of the Bank. We put customers at the centre of everything we do. You’ll manage and optimise the platforms used to power our entire business. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuring our systems are simpler, faster, and more secure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure using AWS technologies such as ECS, Fargate, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ElastiCache, NLB, CloudFront, and CloudWatch.
  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning infrastructure, including infrastructure migration, storage, file systems, and log analysis.
  • Develop, lead, and deploy CI/CD strategies using tools like GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Artifactory, and Jenkins.
  • Manage logging and monitoring with tools such as CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Observe, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Lead troubleshooting of operational issues and suggest cost optimizations.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using scripts.
  • Mentor and coach team members, influencing practices and mindsets.

Essential Skills:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in provisioning AWS services using IaC, preferably with Terraform scripts.
  • Strong experience in managing Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills in AWS Services.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, integrated automated testing, and governance, preferably using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and PowerShell.
  • Experience in installing and configuring API gateways (e.g., Kong, Apigee).
  • Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle and Agile practices, focusing on source control, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, and monitoring.
  • Experience in developing APIs and UI applications using modern web frameworks is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of API management and tools.
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity providers.
  • AWS DevOps certification is a plus.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
