Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordination for a large-scale institutional construction project near Jaipur. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring project timelines, cost controls, and resource planning are effectively managed and aligned with contractual commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare detailed baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
- Develop WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) aligned with project scope.
- Create manpower histograms, resource loading plans, and cash flow projections.
- Establish project milestones in line with contractual requirements.
2. Monitoring & Control
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline schedules.
- Conduct delay analysis and prepare recovery plans.
- Identify critical path activities and suggest mitigation measures.
- Generate MIS reports for senior management and client meetings.
3. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with site execution teams, procurement, design consultants, and subcontractors.
- Conduct weekly review meetings and prepare MOMs.
- Support Project Manager in progress presentations to clients.
- Prepare client billing backup documents linked with physical progress.
4. Cost & Resource Management
- Assist in cost monitoring and budget tracking.
- Analyze productivity rates and resource utilization.
- Support procurement planning in coordination with materials department.
5. Risk & Claims Management
- Identify project risks and maintain risk register.
- Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation for contractual correspondence.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in MSP/Primavera P6 (Mandatory).
- Sound knowledge of institutional construction methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Understanding of contractual clauses (FIDIC or similar).
- Ability to handle multi-disciplinary coordination.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (Advanced level preferred).
Preferred Experience
- Experience in institutional, hospital, university, or large campus projects.
- Exposure to projects valued above 100 Cr.
- Experience working with reputed developers or EPC contractors.
- Experience close to 15 years or more.

- Adherence to approved project timelines.
- Accuracy of planning reports and forecasts.
- Timely identification of project risks.
- Effective coordination across departments.
- Support in achieving project completion within schedule and budget.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Project Manager / Project Director
- Coordinates with: Site Engineers, QA/QC, Procurement, Billing, and Client Representatives
