Senior Designer Piping (Offshore S3D)

Overall Purpose of Role

As a Senior Designer Piping (Offshore) at Lamprell, you will lead the design and development of complex piping systems specifically for offshore projects (topsides, jackets, or rigs). You are responsible for ensuring all deliverablesincluding plot plans and equipment layoutsmeet customer technical specifications and Lamprell's quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities

• S3D Modeling: Lead the development of 3D piping models using S3D (Smart 3D) for offshore facilities.
• Independent Development: Create high-quality piping designs, equipment layouts, and piping plans with minimal supervision.
• Team Leadership: Monitor and check the work of a team of 45 designers to ensure technical accuracy and consistency.
• Deliverables: Prepare comprehensive construction packages, including isometrics, support details, and accurate Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
• Safety & Review: Conduct model reviews to verify accessibility, operability, and safety aspects, ensuring compliance with Lamprell HSES policies.

Attainment

• Education: Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years of extensive experience in offshore oil and gas design (Topsides/Jackets).
• Software: Expert-level proficiency in S3D (Smart 3D) is mandatory.
• Skills: Strong understanding of offshore piping materials, dimensional standards, and inter-disciplinary coordination.
