Senior PHP Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and analytical PHP Developer with 69 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable web applications. The ideal candidate combines strong programming fundamentals with analytical thinking, proactive monitoring, and effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using modern PHP frameworks (Laravel/Symfony).
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Perform unit testing and maintain code quality using tools such as SonarQube, when applicable.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including requirement analysis, design discussions, development, testing, and deployment.
• Implement RESTful APIs, integrate with external systems, and ensure secure data handling.
• Conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning of applications and SQL queries.
• Proactively monitor application health and performance using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and front-end teams to ensure smooth delivery and integration.
• Participate in code reviews and share constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Document technical solutions and contribute to process enhancements.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP 8 and object-oriented programming.
• Solid experience in Laravel or similar MVC frameworks.
• Strong in MySQL (schema design, optimization, and complex queries).
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX for integration support.
• Work with UI frameworks like React or Angular (when applicable) and ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG compliance).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitLab, or GitHub).
• Basic understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) or other cloud environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or automated deployment tools.
• Experience with application monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, CloudWatch, ELK Stack) is a plus.
