Senior Perl Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, refactor, and modernize legacy Perl codebases to improve performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product managers, QA, and operations) to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues across various environments (development, staging, production).
• Integrate Perl applications with third-party APIs and web services.
• Document code, processes, and system architecture clearly and concisely.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and share knowledge with the team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Perl.
• Proficiency in object-oriented Perl and modern Perl conventions.
• 3+ years of professional experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery included)
• 1+ years of professional experience with React
• 1+ years of professional experience working in a Linux/Unix environment and with basic shell scripting.
• 3+ years of professional experience integration with SOAP and REST webservices
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably GitHub and Subversion.
• Strong understanding of agile software development principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
