Senior Network Security Engineer

Role: L3 Network security Engineer

Years of Experience: 10 to 14 Years

Technical Skills:

• Network and Security engineer will have to provide primary Level- 3 support for Incidents, Change and request tickets by troubleshooting / analyzing across Mphasis Network & Security platforms.
• Routing and Switching is the Key Primary Skill with experience preferably across all Routing Protocols and experience in Cisco/HP/Aruba devices as the preference.
• Security (Firewalls/IPS/IDS/Proxy) is the Secondary skill with experience across all major Vendors on Security appliances like Cisco/HP/Aruba/Palo Alto/Fortigate//CheckPoint, etc.
• Wireless Architecture / Implementation and Operational Support Knowledge and Experience on Vendors like Cisco/Aruba, etc.
• Execute changes and periodic device upgrade, migration, integration activities along with L1 & L2 Engineers and Oversee/Supervise the L1 & L2 Enggs in the specific shifts being managed by the L3 Engg.
• Plan, Manage and Execute End-to-End Technical Implementation Projects as per the technology Verticals/OEMs listed above.
• Understanding vertical domain SOPs and manage environment as per defined SOPs
• Coordinate with OEM for product related fixed, ensure high uptime and standardization of configuration in devices
• Periodic Failover testing, execute corrective action as needed for high infrastructure uptime to support business
• Train/Supervise & Guide the L1 & L2 Enggs in the team and drive the New Technology Learning & Adoption within the team
• Support and implement, Create policies, Log and Data analysis, Configurations and Action of critical alert from SOC along with analysis and quick remediation.
• Network diagram update as per the land scape changes with new device & technologies
• Attend regular internal and client meetings when at work.
• Work in 24X7 environment in rotational shift to support operation.
• Scripting Knowledge > VB/PowerShell (recommended but NOT mandatory)
• Preferred but NOT Mandatory Skills
• Working Knowledge on Secure Email Gateway Technology (preferably Symantec but not compulsory)
• Working Knowledge on NAC Solution (preferably ClearPass Aruba but not compulsory)
• Working Knowledge on WAF (preferably Radware but not compulsory)
• Working Knowledge on Web Proxy (preferably Netskope but not compulsory)

Technical and Domain Specific Experience Expectations:

• Network & Security Domain Specific Working Experience ranging from 9 to 14 years.
• Basic knowledge in Cloud Configuration & Troubleshooting (AWS and Azure) experience preferably ranging from 3 to 5 years.
• People/Roster Management experience preferable but NOT Mandatory.

Process Skills:

• Intermediate knowledge in VA Fixing and Alert Monitoring.
• ServiceNow Tool Work Experience
• Incident / Change and Request Management Process Experience
• Basic knowledge in Cloud Configuration & Troubleshooting (AWS and Azure).

Behavioral Skills:

• Team Player
• Good Communication and Mail Writing Skills
• Problem Solving, Good Analytical Skills and Good Coordination Skills

Qualification:

• Undergraduate Mandatory (BE or a similar UG qualifications)
• Technical Certifications (like CCNP, CCIE, Fortigate, Palo Alto, AWS, Azure, Aruba, CheckPoint, etc.) will be an added advantage Not Mandatory
