Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Consultant with over 6 years of expertise in securing enterprise IT environments. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions to protect critical infrastructure, applications, and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and strengthen the organizations overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Architecture: Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust frameworks.
• Access Control: Manage identity and access policies across enterprise systems, ensuring least-privilege principles.
• Threat Management: Monitor, detect, and respond to network-based threats using SIEM and threat intelligence tools.
• Cloud Security: Secure hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with proper configurations and policies.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA) and conduct regular audits.
• Incident Response: Lead investigations of security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Technical Advisory: Provide guidance on secure design principles for IT projects and mentor junior security engineers.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and proxy servers .
• Hands-on experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS) .
• Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and endpoint security solutions .
• Knowledge of cloud security controls (IAM, encryption, secure connectivity).
• Familiarity with PKI, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC for secure authentication.
• Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability management tools .

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCNP Security, or AWS/Azure Security Specialty .
• Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, manufacturing).
