Senior Network Engineer (Network Strategy)

Role Objective

The Senior NOC Engineer willbe responsible forthe architectural integrity, security, and continuous availability of our global network infrastructure. You will manage a hybrid environment (On-prem & Cloud), ensuring that network performance aligns with banking-grade security standards and operational SLAs.

Technical Core Competencies

1. Network Strategy & Resilience

• Capacity & Scalability:Proactively evaluate LAN/WAN performance data to forecast bandwidth and storage needs.
• HA/DR Architect:Design redundant network pathways and leadDisaster Recovery (DR) testing cyclesto ensure zero-touch business continuity.
• Compliance:Maintainstrict adherence to industry security standards (PCI-DSS/GDPR); support audits and execute rapid remediation of findings.

2. Modern Infrastructure & Cloud Integration

• Hybrid/Multi-Cloud:Support seamless data flow and connectivity between on-premises datacentersand public/private cloud providers.
• SDN & SD-WAN:Manage dynamic, software-driven network configurations to replace or augment manual hardware setups.
• Hardware Lifecycle:End-to-end management (install, config, update) of enterprise-grade routers, switches, and wireless access points.

3. Advanced Security & Risk Management

• Edge Security (SASE):Implement and manageSecure Access Service Edgeand Next-Gen Firewalls (NGFW) for distributed work environments.
• Policy Management:Regularly auditfirewallrules toidentifyand fix vulnerabilities or "bloat" in policy sets.
• Network Segmentation:Execute micro-segmentation strategies to isolate critical banking assets and reduce the lateral movement of threats.
• Threat Response:Real-time monitoring for unauthorized access, malware, and DDoS attacks with a rapid incident response framework.

4. Technical Operations & Troubleshooting

• Level 3 Troubleshooting:Rapidly resolve complex connectivity issues, routing loops, and service failures.
• Project Delivery:Lead network configurations for new builds, site migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Analytical Reporting:Deliver monthly metrics onNetwork Availability, Change Success Rate, and Incident/Problem Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance Optimization:Use telemetry and monitoring tools to ensure network speed and low latency for banking applications.
• Automation:Introduce automation for routine configuration backups and patch deployments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:Work with the Security OperationsCenter(SOC) to align network policies with threat intelligence.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience:4years in Network Operations or Network Security, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
• Certifications:CCNP/CCIE (Enterprise or Security), PCNSE (Palo Alto), or equivalent SD-WAN certifications.
• Technical Stack:Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN (IPsec/SSL), and SASE frameworks.
• Soft Skills:Ability to remain calm during high-pressure network outages and communicate technical roots to non-technical leadership.
