Senior Network Design & Architecture Specialist

ob Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Design Specialist to architect, design, and govern our enterprise network infrastructure. This role is pivotal in translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure network solutions, documented through comprehensive High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).

Key Responsibilities:

Network Architecture & Design:

Lead the design and development of end-to-end network solutions across LAN, WAN, data center, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security platforms.

HLD & LLD Documentation:

Develop and maintain detailed High-Level Design (HLD) documents, defining the overall network architecture, topologies, protocols, and high-level decisions aligned with business objectives.

Create comprehensive Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, providing specific, detailed information for hardware selection, IP addressing schemes, configurations, port mappings, and implementation steps for network engineers and operations teams.

Implementation & Deployment

Support: Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams during the implementation phase to ensure the deployment aligns perfectly with the LLD specifications and architectural standards.

Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies, tools, and processes, including SDN, SD-WAN, and NFV, to align network strategies with business goals.

Security & Compliance: Ensure network security, scalability, and high availability through proper design configurations, firewalls, and adherence to industry standards and security best practices.

Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert (L3/L4) support for complex network issues and act as the design authority for major network changes and transformations.

Automation: Contribute to network automation roadmaps and initiatives using scripting languages like Python or Ansible to streamline deployment and operations (preferred skill).

Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in enterprise networking roles, with proven experience in network architecture, design, and implementation.

Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with multi-vendor network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.), routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and data center technologies (ACI, spine-leaf architecture).

Design Skills: Expertise in network design topology creation, HLD and LLD documentation, and diagramming (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications: Relevant professional certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or JNCIE are highly preferred.

Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to stakeholders
